Best Ad of the Week
This week ad spot winner is this old Faber-Castell ad. There is a lot to learn from it.
This ad worked incredible well, the reason behind this masterpiece relies on merging an object (or animal in this case) with a pencil tip. This way it shows you two things:
Large range of colors: Faber-Castell is known for having high quality pencils, as well as every possible color. If you want something related to art, you know Faber-Castell will have it.
It gives inspiration: many people never start painting (thus, they don’t need to buy pencils) because they don’t have any idea of what to start painting. This gives you an idea of what you can paint, and nothing too fancy. Just a drawing you can do with only one color.
Latest Trends and News
TikTok is going all-in on e-commerce with its new in-app shopping feature, TikTok Shop. The platform, known for its short videos and viral trends, is now allowing users to buy products directly through videos.
The platform’s focus on seamless, shoppable content is making waves, especially with Gen Z shoppers who prefer buying directly from social media.
Why is it working so well? Because individuals love consuming things that they know how the end product is. Also, impulsiveness is a key feature, social media makes you buy many things you don’t even need in the first place.
If we extrapolate this concept into social media. We learn that users are far more likely to engage and trust our content if we show proof of our reliability.
No one wants to listen to the ten tips to get rich, from a broke guy. And the opposite is also true, everyone is inclined to take notes from wealthy individuals when they are sharing their knowledge.
Weekly Tip
Leverage User-Generated Content (UGC). UGC consists of using pieces of content that are provided by your users.
Let me give you an example to make it more clear:
Many business post the reviews from their clients. They are using a UGC strategy. (A very effective one indeed).
You can also use this for your own content. When you are going to reply to a post that you find interesting, and maybe more people will also find it interesting, you should make it a post. Twitter allows you to quote a reply, that is exactly what you need to do.
Also, share ideas from your followers, or the experiences that they share with you. You can leverage a lot of content just throughout your followers.
Weekly Challenge
For this week I want you to try what I’ve just mentioned.
I want you to leverage some User Generated Content. Just take a few questions you’ve received lately, and make it a Q&A. Or just share a reply as a new post.
Any sort of UGC will do it.
Best of luck 🫶
